SCT510

SCT510 is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that serves as a biosimilar to bevacizumab, developed by Sinocelltech. It is designed to bind specifically to vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), a key mediator of angiogenesis. By neutralizing VEGF, SCT510 prevents its interaction with VEGFR-1 and VEGFR-2 receptors on the surface of endothelial cells, thereby inhibiting the proliferation of endothelial cells and the formation of new blood vessels. This anti-angiogenic effect leads to the regression of tumor vasculature and inhibits tumor growth. SCT510 is approved in China for the treatment of advanced, metastatic, or recurrent non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (nsNSCLC) and metastatic colorectal cancer, having demonstrated clinical equivalence to the reference product, Avastin, in pivotal Phase 3 trials.
