Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SCT650 is an investigational autologous chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy developed by Sinocelltech for the treatment of B-cell hematologic malignancies. The therapy involves the ex vivo genetic modification of a patient's own T cells to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) that specifically targets the CD19 antigen, a protein widely expressed on the surface of B-cell lineage cells. Once these engineered T cells are expanded and re-infused into the patient, they recognize and eliminate CD19-positive malignant cells through T-cell mediated cytotoxicity. SCT650 is currently being evaluated in early-stage clinical trials for various B-cell lymphomas and leukemias.
