Overview
SCT80A is a bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) developed by Sinocelltech, designed to target both CD30 on tumor cells and CD3 on T cells. By simultaneously binding to these two antigens, the antibody facilitates the formation of an immunological synapse between cytotoxic T lymphocytes and CD30-expressing malignant cells. This interaction triggers T-cell activation and the release of perforins and granzymes, leading to the targeted lysis of the tumor cells. CD30 is a well-validated target in hematologic oncology, frequently overexpressed in Hodgkin lymphoma and anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL). SCT80A is currently being investigated in clinical trials for the treatment of CD30-positive malignancies.
