Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SCTA02A is a recombinant anti-HBsAg (Hepatitis B surface antigen) monoclonal antibody developed by Sinocelltech (specifically its subsidiary Shenzhou Cell Engineering). It is designed as the first clinical-stage candidate in Sinocelltech's product portfolio aimed at achieving a functional cure for chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. SCTA02A works by binding to HBsAg, neutralizing the virus, and facilitating the clearance of viral particles. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase Ia/Ib clinical trial to assess its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetic profile in healthy adults and patients with chronic hepatitis B.
