ScTIL + B lymphocytes

ScTIL + B lymphocytes refers to an experimental adoptive cell therapy approach that combines tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy with the inclusion or co-expansion of tumor-infiltrating B cells. TIL therapy is a form of immunotherapy where immune cells (primarily T cells) are extracted from a patient's tumor, expanded ex vivo, and reinfused to target cancer cells. Recent research has shown that the presence and activation of tumor-infiltrating B lymphocytes can enhance the expansion, quality, and antitumor activity of TIL products. Specifically, stimulating these B cells—often via CD40 agonism—can improve T cell activation and yield more potent cellular therapies. This combination strategy is being investigated primarily in solid tumors such as melanoma, non-small cell lung cancer, bladder cancer, and renal cell carcinoma[6][8]. The approach remains investigational but aims to standardize and boost the efficacy of adoptive cellular immunotherapies by leveraging both adaptive immune arms.
