SCTV02 is a recombinant protein vaccine developed for the prevention of diseases caused by respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection. RSV is a major cause of lower respiratory tract infections such as bronchiolitis and pneumonia in infants, and upper respiratory tract infections in older children and adults. SCTV02 is being evaluated in clinical trials for its safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity in healthy adults. The vaccine is being developed by Sinocelltech Group and has received approval to begin Phase 1/2 clinical trials in China[1][2][3].
