SDI Conseal F is a fluoride-releasing, resin-based pit and fissure sealant used for the prevention of dental caries. It is a light-cured, low-viscosity material that creates a physical barrier on the occlusal surfaces of teeth, particularly permanent molars, to prevent the accumulation of cariogenic bacteria and food particles. The sealant is composed of an organic resin matrix, often containing monomers such as Bis-GMA, UDMA, and TEGDMA. In a Phase 4 trial led by Zhengzhou University, SDI Conseal F was compared to glass ionomer cement (ART) sealants to evaluate long-term cost-effectiveness in school-based dental public health programs.
