Overview

SDM201 is a polyethylene glycol-stabilized, lipid-shelled neutral microbubble. It is designed to enhance ultrasound-mediated gene transfer by interacting with plasmid DNA and target cells, thereby facilitating the delivery of genetic material. While effective in both in vitro and in vivo settings, its ability to enhance gene transfer is noted to be less potent than cationic or biotinylated cationic microbubbles, particularly at low concentrations.
