Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SDN-037 is a novel long-acting (twice-a-day) steroid ophthalmic formulation of difluprednate for the treatment of inflammation and pain associated with ocular surgery. It utilizes proprietary Tight Junction Modulation (TJM) technology to deliver a lower dose (0.04% w/v) with reduced frequency compared to currently marketed formulations that require administration every 4-6 hours. Unlike existing milky formulations that can cause vision blurring, SDN-037 has a clear solution enabling convenient dosing while maintaining efficacy.
