SDP051 is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets Cadherin-11, a cell surface adhesion protein expressed on fibroblasts and fibroblast-like synoviocytes, disrupting immune cell adhesion to treat inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. Developed by Adheron Therapeutics, it inhibits Cadherin-11-mediated joint destruction in rheumatoid arthritis and fibrotic pathology in conditions like pulmonary fibrosis. It completed a Phase 1 trial demonstrating safety and tolerability up to 10 mg/kg IV daily with no significant side effects, was acquired by Roche in 2015 for $105 million upfront plus milestones, renamed RG6125, advanced to a Phase 2 trial in rheumatoid arthritis, but was subsequently discontinued.[1][3][6]
