Overview

SDS-203 is an experimental drug identified as an mTORC1 inhibitor. It induces a unique form of non-apoptotic cell death in cancer cells by triggering an incomplete autophagic response and promoting the nuclear translocation of the transcriptional factor TFEB. This process leads to an excessive accumulation of autophagosomes and lysosomes within the cells, ultimately causing their demise. Preclinical studies in mouse models have demonstrated that SDS-203 significantly reduces tumor burden.
