Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**SEA-BCMA + dexamethasone** is an investigational combination therapy comprised of SEA-BCMA—a humanized, non-fucosylated IgG1 monoclonal antibody targeting B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA)—and dexamethasone, a synthetic glucocorticoid. SEA-BCMA binds BCMA (expressed on malignant plasma cells in multiple myeloma), blocks its activation and associated proliferative signaling, and enhances antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis and cytotoxicity. Dexamethasone is included as a standard immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory agent to mitigate infusion reactions and potentiate anti-myeloma effects. The combination is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 trials in relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma, particularly in patients refractory to multiple standard treatments[1][3][5].
