Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SEA-BCMA + dexamethasone + pomalidomide is an investigational **three-drug regimen** combining SEA-BCMA, a novel humanized monoclonal antibody targeting B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), with dexamethasone, a synthetic glucocorticoid, and pomalidomide, an immunomodulatory agent. SEA-BCMA is designed to bind BCMA expressed on malignant plasma cells, promoting immune-mediated killing through enhanced antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity and phagocytosis and blocking BCMA-mediated survival signaling in multiple myeloma cells[2]. Pomalidomide modulates the immune system and directly exerts antimyeloma activity by stimulating T cells and natural killer cells, while dexamethasone provides anti-inflammatory and antineoplastic effects[3]. This combination is being evaluated primarily for **relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma**, especially in high-risk groups, with the intent to improve antimyeloma efficacy by engaging multiple biological pathways simultaneously[2][3].
