Overview

SEA-CD40 (also known as cifurtilimab or SEA-1C10) is an investigational, non-fucosylated, humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody that targets CD40, a co-stimulatory receptor expressed on antigen-presenting cells. By agonizing CD40 and binding with increased affinity to FcγRIIIa receptors, it enhances immune activation through upregulation of cytokine production and co-stimulatory molecules. This leads to improved tumor antigen presentation to T cells and amplification of both innate and adaptive antitumor immune responses. The drug is being developed primarily for use in oncology as an immunotherapy and antineoplastic agent. It has shown evidence of immune activation and preliminary antitumor activity in early-phase clinical trials for solid tumors (including pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma), lymphoma, malignant melanoma, and non-small cell lung cancer[1][2][5][6].
