Overview
Sebinil is a topical cream gel developed by Epitech for the management of inflammatory and sebaceous dermatological conditions, such as seborrheic dermatitis and acne-prone skin. The formulation is based on the ALIAmide (Autacoid Local Inflammation Antagonism) mechanism, primarily utilizing **adelmidrol**, a synthetic analogue of the endogenous fatty acid amide palmitoylethanolamide (PEA). Adelmidrol acts to modulate the hyperactivity of mast cells and other non-neuronal immune cells, thereby reducing local inflammation, itching, and erythema. The product also contains **trans-traumatic acid** to support tissue repair and **phytosphingosine** to help restore the skin's lipid barrier. Sebinil is marketed as a topical treatment to normalize skin reactivity and regulate sebum production.
