Seiztra

Seiztra is a branded generic formulation of levetiracetam, an oral small molecule anticonvulsant marketed by Sanrey Therapeutics. It exerts its therapeutic effect by binding to the synaptic vesicle protein 2A (SV2A), a membrane-bound protein found in neurons and endocrine cells. This binding modulates the release of neurotransmitters, thereby inhibiting the hypersynchronous firing of neurons that leads to seizures.
