Overview

SEL-110 is a proprietary immunomodulatory therapeutic developed to mitigate immune responses and induce antigen-specific immune tolerance. It consists of tolerogenic nanoparticles containing sirolimus (rapamycin) and is designed to prevent the formation of anti-drug antibodies (ADAs) against biologic drugs when co-administered. The primary mechanism involves inhibition of the mTOR protein pathway and stimulation of methylmalonyl CoA mutase. SEL-110 has been investigated primarily for use in combination therapies for gout refractory to standard treatments (notably as part of the combination product SEL-212 with pegsiticase/SEL-037), where it helps sustain uricase activity by reducing ADA formation. The drug has reached Phase III clinical trials for gout but has not advanced in other indications such as methylmalonic acidaemia or immunological disorders[1][3][5][7].
