Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Tralement** is a sterile intravenous parenteral-nutrition additive containing selenious acid, zinc sulfate, cupric sulfate, and manganese sulfate. It is approved for adult and pediatric patients weighing at least 10 kg as a source of selenium, zinc, copper, and manganese when oral or enteral nutrition is not possible, insufficient, or contraindicated. Each mL supplies zinc 3 mg, copper 0.3 mg, manganese 55 mcg, and selenium 60 mcg. The product replenishes essential trace elements required for diverse enzymatic and metabolic functions, including zinc-dependent enzymes, copper- and manganese-dependent antioxidant enzymes, and selenium-containing proteins. It must be diluted in a parenteral-nutrition admixture and is not intended for direct intravenous infusion.
