seliforant

Seliforant is a selective, orally administered small molecule antagonist of the histamine H4 receptor. It was initially developed by Palau Pharma and is being further developed by Sensorion for the treatment of vestibular disorders such as vertigo and tinnitus. Seliforant (also known as SENS-111 or UR-63325) has demonstrated an excellent safety profile with minimal sedation in clinical studies, distinguishing it from other antihistamines that often cause drowsiness. The drug has reached Phase II clinical trials for vertigo and has also been investigated in seasonal allergic rhinitis. Its mechanism of action involves blocking the histamine H4 receptor, which is expressed in the peripheral vestibular system—a novel target for managing vestibular disorders[3][4][5][6][8].
