Overview
This is a four-drug combination regimen consisting of selinexor, dexamethasone, ixazomib, and pomalidomide. Selinexor is an oral selective inhibitor of nuclear export that targets exportin 1 (XPO1), leading to the nuclear retention and activation of tumor suppressor proteins and induction of apoptosis in malignant cells. Dexamethasone is a synthetic glucocorticoid with anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties. Ixazomib is an oral proteasome inhibitor that disrupts protein degradation pathways in cancer cells, leading to cell death. Pomalidomide is an immunomodulatory agent that enhances immune response against myeloma cells and inhibits angiogenesis. This combination has been investigated primarily for relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma[1][2][8].
