This investigational combination therapy is being evaluated for the treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM). The regimen consists of **selvigaltin** (GB1211), an oral small-molecule inhibitor of Galectin-3 (Gal-3), combined with the standard-of-care triplet therapy known as Dara-Kd. **Daratumumab-hyaluronidase** is a subcutaneous formulation of a CD38-directed monoclonal antibody paired with recombinant human hyaluronidase to facilitate delivery. **Carfilzomib** is a second-generation proteasome inhibitor that induces apoptosis in myeloma cells, and **dexamethasone** is a corticosteroid used to enhance the efficacy of the other agents and manage inflammation. Galectin-3 is often overexpressed in the tumor microenvironment of multiple myeloma and is associated with drug resistance and poor prognosis; by inhibiting Gal-3, selvigaltin is intended to sensitize cancer cells to the cytotoxic effects of the standard-of-care backbone.
