Sensicold

Sensicold is a fixed-dose combination oral syrup developed and marketed by Docventures Pharmaceuticals for the symptomatic relief of the common cold, influenza, and allergic rhinitis. The formulation contains three active small molecule ingredients: paracetamol (acetaminophen), phenylephrine hydrochloride, and chlorpheniramine maleate. Paracetamol serves as an analgesic and antipyretic by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system. Phenylephrine hydrochloride acts as a sympathomimetic nasal decongestant by stimulating alpha-1 adrenergic receptors to induce vasoconstriction in the nasal mucosa. Chlorpheniramine maleate is a first-generation antihistamine that antagonizes H1 receptors to alleviate allergic symptoms such as sneezing, rhinorrhea, and watery eyes. The product is primarily marketed in India for both pediatric and adult use.
