Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Sensodyne is a brand of toothpaste and mouthwash targeted at people with sensitive teeth. It contains active ingredients such as potassium nitrate, stannous fluoride, or NovaMin (calcium sodium phosphosilicate) that work to relieve tooth sensitivity. Potassium nitrate works by soothing the nerves inside teeth, while stannous fluoride creates a protective shield over exposed dentine. All Sensodyne products contain fluoride to help fight against cavities.
