Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Sentrip is an oral dissolving film (ODF) formulation of tadalafil, a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. Developed by C.L. Pharm using their proprietary film technology, it is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. By inhibiting PDE5, tadalafil prevents the degradation of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in the corpus cavernosum, leading to smooth muscle relaxation and increased blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. The ODF formulation allows for rapid dissolution in the mouth without the need for water, offering a convenient and discreet administration method compared to traditional tablets.
