Seqirus Quadrivalent Influenza Vaccine

Seqirus Quadrivalent Influenza Vaccine (Seqirus QIV) is a vaccine developed by Seqirus for the prevention of human influenza. It is an inactivated vaccine designed to provide active immunization against four influenza virus strains (two A subtypes and two B types). The vaccine works by inducing humoral antibodies against the haemagglutinins of the influenza viruses, which then neutralize the viruses. Some formulations, like FLUCELVAX QUADRIVALENT, are cell-based, offering an alternative to traditional egg-based manufacturing and aiming for a better match to WHO-selected strains. Other formulations can be split virion inactivated or adjuvanted.
