Overview

SER-252 is an investigational formulation of apomorphine developed by Serina Therapeutics using its proprietary POZ (poly(2-oxazoline)) platform. The drug is designed to provide continuous dopaminergic stimulation (CDS) for patients with advanced Parkinson’s disease. Unlike traditional apomorphine therapies that require frequent subcutaneous infusions via electronic pumps, SER-252 leverages the POZ polymer technology to enable controlled and sustained release of apomorphine over several days following a single subcutaneous injection. This approach aims to increase “ON” time, decrease “OFF” time, and reduce levodopa-induced dyskinesia while minimizing skin reactions associated with current infusion-based treatments. The therapy will be delivered in combination with Enable Injections’ enFuse wearable drug delivery platform, allowing for convenient at-home administration without the need for complex pump systems or daily infusions[1][2][3][4][5][6].
