Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Serabelisib + canagliflozin is an investigational **combination therapy** of two small molecule drugs explored for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. Serabelisib is a highly selective inhibitor of phosphoinositide 3-kinase alpha (PI3Kα), a kinase implicated in cancer cell growth and survival. Canagliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitor originally approved for type 2 diabetes, which also exhibits antiproliferative activity in cancer models, potentially via AMPK activation, inhibition of glucose uptake, and induction of ferroptosis. The combination has reached phase 1b/2 clinical study status in patients with advanced solid tumors and is not currently approved for any indication[3][5][7].
