Seretide Diskus

Seretide Diskus is a combination dry powder inhaler developed by GSK for the maintenance treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It contains two active ingredients: salmeterol xinafoate, a long-acting beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist (LABA) that provides bronchodilation by relaxing airway smooth muscles, and fluticasone propionate, a synthetic corticosteroid that reduces airway inflammation. The Diskus device delivers pre-metered doses of the medication for inhalation. It is specifically indicated for patients whose asthma is not adequately controlled with inhaled corticosteroids alone and for the symptomatic treatment of patients with severe COPD and a history of repeated exacerbations.
