Seridopidine is an investigational small‑molecule dopidine-class compound originally developed by NeuroSearch and later acquired by Saniona, evaluated primarily for central nervous system indications such as Huntington’s disease and other movement or psychiatric disorders.[13][18] Dopidines are characterized by a distinct phenotypic profile that includes dopaminergic and serotonergic receptor interactions and potential modulation of motor and behavioral symptoms, and seridopidine is closely related to pridopidine (Huntexil), though detailed receptor pharmacology for seridopidine itself has not been fully disclosed.[11][13][18] Clinical work to date has focused on assessing safety and exploratory efficacy in early-phase trials, and the program has been de‑prioritized relative to other pipeline assets.[13][18]
