Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Serplulimab + lurbinectedin is an investigational combination regimen being evaluated as a maintenance therapy for patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC). The regimen combines serplulimab, a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor, with lurbinectedin, a small-molecule, marine-derived alkylating agent that binds to the minor groove of DNA and inhibits oncogenic transcription. In clinical trials, such as the Phase II NCT06497530 trial, patients receive an induction phase of serplulimab combined with carboplatin and etoposide, followed by a maintenance phase of serplulimab plus lurbinectedin. Serplulimab is developed by Shanghai Henlius Biotech, while lurbinectedin was originally developed by PharmaMar and is marketed in the US by Jazz Pharmaceuticals.
