Overview
Serplulimab + nab-paclitaxel + carboplatin is a combination immunotherapy-chemotherapy regimen used as a first-line treatment for advanced squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Serplulimab is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor, developed by Shanghai Henlius Biotech. Nab-paclitaxel is an albumin-bound formulation of paclitaxel, and carboplatin is a platinum-based alkylating agent. This combination works by simultaneously inhibiting the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway to restore T-cell anti-tumor activity and utilizing cytotoxic chemotherapy to induce tumor cell death and potentially increase tumor antigenicity. The regimen has demonstrated significant improvements in progression-free survival and overall survival in the Phase 3 ASTRUM-004 trial.
