Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SeV-G(NP) is an investigational intranasal HIV vaccine candidate based on a recombinant Sendai virus vector. It is designed to express the HIV-1 Gag and Pol proteins (NP refers to nucleoprotein), aiming to stimulate both mucosal and systemic immune responses against HIV. The vaccine was developed as part of a prime-boost regimen, where it is administered intranasally followed by an intramuscular Ad35-GRIN boost. Its mechanism involves immunostimulation through delivery of viral antigens via a live attenuated viral vector, with the goal of inducing robust cellular and humoral immunity against HIV. The primary developer is the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative in collaboration with Id Pharma[1].
