It features a dual mechanism of action, acting as both an epithelial sodium channel (ENaC) blocker and a sodium-glucose cotransporter (SGLT) inhibitor. By blocking ENaC, the drug aims to reduce sodium reabsorption in the distal nephron, while SGLT inhibition targets renal glucose and sodium reabsorption in the proximal tubule.
