Overview

SF2506 is a small molecule, multi-targeted kinase inhibitor developed by Semafore Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of cancer. It is designed to inhibit multiple kinases within the PI3K/PTEN signaling pathway, specifically targeting all Class I isoforms of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K), the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR), DNA-dependent protein kinase (DNA-PK), and PIM-1 kinase. Developed using a proprietary kinase scaffold and computational modeling, SF2506 has demonstrated significantly greater potency compared to the PI3K inhibitor LY294002 and has shown the ability to induce apoptosis in renal cell carcinoma cell lines.
