Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SFG-02 is a **novel small molecule acetylcholinesterase inhibitor** developed by Juro Sciences for the treatment of **underactive bladder (UAB)**. It features a transformative **transdermal drug delivery system**, designed to maximize efficacy and minimize side effects. Preclinical studies demonstrated high selectivity for its molecular target and optimal efficacy in animal models of UAB. Nonclinical toxicology and ADME data support its initiations into clinical trials. Phase 1 clinical studies are underway to assess safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy adult volunteers[1][2][3][4][5][7][9]. The program is supported by grants from the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED).
