Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SFT-1008 (also referred to as IXT-001) is a drug candidate being developed by invoX Pharma (through its acquisition of Softhale NV) for the treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). It is a dry powder formulation of a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA) and a long-acting beta2-agonist (LABA) combination, specifically glycopyrronium and indacaterol. The drug is delivered using the proprietary Softhaler® technology, a high-performance, propellant-free, multi-dose dry powder inhaler designed to deliver medication effectively to the lungs with low inspiratory effort. The program aims to provide a more efficient delivery of established bronchodilator therapies to improve lung function and symptom management in patients with COPD.
