Overview

SFT-403 is an inhaled therapeutic candidate being developed by Softhale (a subsidiary of invoX Pharma) for the treatment of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). The drug is delivered via the proprietary Softhaler® inhalation platform, a propellant-free, multi-dose soft mist inhaler (SMI) designed to deliver medication deep into the lungs with high efficiency and minimal inspiratory effort. By utilizing this targeted delivery method, SFT-403 aims to concentrate the active therapeutic agent at the site of fibrotic disease in the lung tissue, potentially enhancing efficacy while reducing the systemic side effects often associated with oral antifibrotic treatments. As of early 2024, the program is in early-stage clinical development.
