A combination therapy consisting of **SFX-01**, a stabilized synthetic formulation of sulforaphane with alpha-cyclodextrin, and **aromatase inhibitors** (such as anastrozole, letrozole, or exemestane). SFX-01 acts primarily by inhibiting **STAT3 signaling**, thereby reversing endocrine-resistant cancer stem cell activity and potentially overcoming resistance to antiestrogen therapy. Aromatase inhibitors work by blocking the enzyme aromatase, preventing conversion of androgens to estrogens, and thus significantly lowering estrogen levels in postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive breast cancer[1][2][3][4]. The combination is under investigation for its role in treating estrogen receptor-positive, antiestrogen therapy–resistant breast cancer, with evidence showing enhanced reduction in cancer stem cell activity and tumor growth compared to antiestrogen therapy alone[1][3].
