Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SG-001 is a preclinical, investigative hyperimmune globulin being developed by ADMA Biologics for the treatment and prevention of *Streptococcus pneumoniae* infections. As a polyclonal antibody biologic, it is designed to provide immediate passive immunity by delivering high titers of pooled anti-pneumococcal antibodies. This approach is intended to protect vulnerable populations, such as vaccine-naive or immunocompromised individuals, who may not mount an adequate response to active immunization. The drug is manufactured using ADMA's proprietary plasma fractionation and purification technology at its FDA-licensed facility in Boca Raton, Florida.
