**SG-2-0776** is a novel, naturally derived protein from the healthy human gut microbiome that promotes mucosal healing by improving intestinal barrier function and reducing fibrogenesis. It inhibits plasminogen activator inhibitor (PAI)-1/2, key targets in the tissue repair pathway implicated in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) pathophysiology.
