SG-ICG (also known as ICG-SG) is a near-infrared-II (NIR-II) fluorescent molecular imaging probe developed by Xiamen University and Xiang'an Hospital of Xiamen University. It is synthesized by conjugating the near-infrared dye indocyanine green (ICG) to sacituzumab govitecan (SG), a monoclonal antibody-drug conjugate targeting trophoblast cell-surface antigen 2 (TROP2). SG-ICG is designed for rapid intraoperative incubation and imaging of freshly resected breast tissues during breast-conserving surgery. By specifically binding to TROP2, which is highly expressed in breast cancer cells, the probe enables real-time, high-contrast visualization of tumor margins and boundaries, helping surgeons ensure complete tumor resection and reduce the need for secondary operations.
