Overview

SG1906 is a recombinant human IgG1 bispecific antibody that targets both Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2), a tumor-associated antigen, and CD47, an immune checkpoint protein[2][5][6]. It is designed to enhance anti-tumor activity by simultaneously blocking the "don't eat me" signal of CD47 and targeting CLDN18.2-expressing tumor cells, thereby promoting antibody-dependent cell cytotoxicity (ADCC) and stimulating T lymphocyte responses[4][5]. SG1906 was developed by Hangzhou Sumgen Biotech for the treatment of patients with locally advanced unresectable or metastatic solid tumors, particularly those positive for CLDN18.2 expression such as gastric/gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma and pancreatic cancer[1][3][4][5]. The drug is currently in Phase I clinical trials.
