SG301SC is a subcutaneous formulation of a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting CD38, developed by CNBG Sumgen Biopharmaceutical. CD38 is a transmembrane glycoprotein highly expressed on the surface of plasma cells and certain immune cells, playing a critical role in the production of autoantibodies and the pathogenesis of various autoimmune conditions. By binding to CD38, SG301SC mediates the depletion of pathogenic plasma cells through mechanisms such as antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis (ADCP), and complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC). The subcutaneous delivery route is designed to enhance patient convenience and potentially reduce the risk of infusion-related reactions compared to intravenous administration. It is currently being evaluated in Phase I clinical trials for the treatment of autoimmune diseases.
