Overview

SG404 is a short hairpin RNA (sshRNA) therapeutic candidate developed by SomaGenics. It is part of SomaGenics' sshRNA platform, which utilizes RNA interference (RNAi) technology. The drug is being investigated for its potential to treat chronic diabetic wounds. SomaGenics is advancing its preclinical wound healing program for SG404 through a research collaboration with LayerBio and Dr. Geoffrey Gurtner's lab at Stanford University School of Medicine. The development of SG404 for accelerating wound healing is supported by a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
