Overview

SGB-3252 is an investigational RNA interference (RNAi) therapeutic being developed by Suzhou Shengyin Biopharmaceutical (SanegeneBio) for the treatment of hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT) and heavy menstrual bleeding (HMB). Utilizing SanegeneBio's proprietary LEAD (Liver-targeting Efficient siRNA Delivery) platform, SGB-3252 is designed to specifically target and silence the expression of the plasminogen (PLG) gene in the liver. By reducing the levels of circulating plasminogen, the precursor to the fibrinolytic enzyme plasmin, the drug aims to inhibit excessive fibrinolysis and stabilize blood clots, thereby reducing bleeding symptoms in patients. The program is currently in the lead identification (Lead ID) stage of development.
