Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SGB-BS02 is an investigational RNA interference (RNAi) therapeutic developed by Sanegene Bio (Suzhou Shengyin Biopharmaceutical) for the treatment of dyslipidemia. It is designed to simultaneously target Proprotein Convertase Subtilisin/Kexin Type 9 (PCSK9) and Lipoprotein(a) (LPA). By utilizing small interfering RNA (siRNA) to silence the expression of these two key genetic drivers of cardiovascular risk, SGB-BS02 aims to lower both LDL cholesterol and Lp(a) levels. The program is currently in the IND-enabling phase and utilizes the company's proprietary LEAD (Liver-targeting Efficient siRNA Delivery) platform for liver-specific delivery.
