Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SGB-BS03 is an RNA interference (RNAi) therapeutic candidate being developed by Suzhou Shengyin Biopharmaceutical (SanegeneBio) for the treatment of metabolic-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Utilizing SanegeneBio's proprietary RNAi platform, the drug is designed to silence a specific, currently undisclosed gene target involved in the pathogenesis of MASH, a progressive form of liver disease characterized by inflammation and fibrosis. As of mid-2024, the program is in the Lead Identification (Lead ID) stage of preclinical development, focusing on optimizing the siRNA sequence for potent and durable gene silencing in the liver.
