SGN-516 is a topical nanolotion formulation developed by SGN Nanopharma for the treatment of diabetic neuropathy. The product utilizes the company's proprietary Micellar Nanoparticle (MNP) technology, which is designed to enhance the delivery and penetration of active pharmaceutical ingredients through the skin barrier. SGN-516 has completed a 19-patient open-label human proof-of-concept study demonstrating its potential efficacy and safety in managing neuropathic symptoms. The program is progressing toward a larger 80-patient controlled Phase 2 clinical trial to further evaluate its therapeutic utility in patients with diabetic neuropathy.
