SGX945

SGX945 is an intravenous formulation of dusquetide, a synthetic short peptide classified as an Innate Defense Regulator (IDR). It is being developed for the treatment of aphthous ulcers associated with Behçet’s Disease, a chronic autoimmune condition characterized by recurrent and painful oral and genital ulcers. Dusquetide modulates the innate immune response to promote anti-inflammatory, anti-infective, and tissue-healing effects without direct antibiotic activity. By shifting the body’s reaction to injury or infection toward resolution and repair, it addresses both the severity and duration of ulceration. SGX945 is administered as a rapid 4-minute IV infusion twice weekly during ulcerative flares. The drug has received FDA Fast Track designation for this indication[1][2][3][4][9].
