Overview

SH3051 is an orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor targeting the serine/threonine kinase transforming growth factor-beta receptor 1 (TGF-βR1; also known as activin receptor-like kinase 5 or ALK5). It acts by inhibiting TGF-β signaling, which plays a key role in tumor progression and immune modulation. The drug is being developed primarily for antineoplastic (anticancer) and immunomodulating activities. Its main indications under investigation are advanced malignant solid neoplasms and liver cancer. The developer of SH3051 is Nanjing Sanhome Pharmaceutical.
